Our governors, have three main roles:
To provide strategic direction for the work we do at BDB and its improvement.
To support, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the work we do in school.
To hold the school to account for the standards achieved and the quality of education.
Governance Structure
Bishop David Brown School follows a portfolio model of governance, this model means specific governors have a remit of focussing on designated areas of the School and ensuring they not only support the School but hold them to account.

Members appointed by Unity Schools Trust, to include the Chair – usually people with a
local connection or interest who are committed to supporting educational opportunity in the area.
